Lucha Libre (Spanish meaning “free fighting”) is a term used in Mexico, and other Spanish-speaking countries, for a form of professional wrestling. Mexican wrestling is characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, as well as “high-flying” combinations. Lucha Libre wrestlers are known as “luchadores” (singular luchador) (“fighter(s)”). They usually come from extended wrestling families who form their own stables.
Lucha Libre has transcended into the pop culture of “Mexicanisim.” The growing number of fanatics and followers world wide identify with the movement to “feel” the Mexican “spirit”.
The Pico Blvd Group’s creative lab team is currently conceiving a new property to share and preserve the “Mexicanisim” legacy of the “Lucha Libre”. PBG introduces: “Lucha-Equis Defenders of the Planet”!
The “Lucha-Equis” property is a collection of “luchadores” developed to promote good deeds and practices for mother earth. Known as the “Bad News Bears” of the wrestling world, this goofy, misfit, and sometimes misunderstood clan solves serious earth related problems and events sometimes by accident! They are cute, lovable and have a big heart!
The Pico Blvd Group’s creative lab team is currently conceiving a new property to further promote and exploit our traditional catalog of Latin Music.
The Mariachi Los Muertos™ concept is an illustrated collection of “Dia De Los Muertos / Day of The Dead” characters exclusively developed by The Pico Blvd Group. With over 50 characters in production, each “muerto” is loosely developed based on its song description and title. Each character is unique with their own name but all the characters together make up the virtual band: “Mariachi Los Muertos™”!
By inventing characters loosely based on traditional Mariachi song titles, The Pico Blvd Group creates awareness to it’s catalog of rich and cultural Latin music.
The “Mariachi Los Muertos™” line of characters are scheduled to be released as many different consumer products including but not limited to, CDs, music downloads, toys, apparel, and greeting cards. All our products will have a strong influence of music…either embedded within the item or available through a music download campaign.
